*Chicago Picasso* (1964)- The sculpture stands 50 feet (15.2 metres) tall and weighs 162 tonnes in Daley Plaza in the Chicago Loop, where he was dedicated on August 15, 1967. It was the city's first big public artwork, and it has since become a well-known monument. With its dislocation and distortion of form, the basketwork structure combining the minimalist facial lines with the massive steel wing-like structures for the hair, this work draws on many of Picasso's artistic efforts over the years.
