*Buste de Femme (Bust of a Woman)* (1909)- This is one of the important painting by Picaso, during the final months of the Nazi Occupation. Most of his wartime work is monochromatic, but the higher colouring of this work suggests the prospect of liberation. It features a female nude (Model - photographer Dora Maar) presented in half-length format. Her body is angled away from the viewer, turned slightly to her right. She looks down and her shoulders appear slumped. Her upper body is rendered in Picasso*s proto-cubist style. currently displayed at the Museum Of Modern Art in New York. *PABLO PICASSO (1881-1973) is universally renowned as one of the most influential and celebrated artists of the twentieth century; in terms of art, and art movements that occurred over this period.
