Shri-Krishna is a major Hindu Deity and worshipped in almost all parts of India. He is the God of 'Dharma' the 'Bhagvadgeeta' which he told to Arjun in Mahabharat, has become the sacred book of Hindu Religion. Life of Krishna has become now the subject of curiosity and study all over world's said to his lover, the high minded women of the many virtues and qualities that are intrinsic to goddesses and woman in classical Indian literature. *Nandalal Bose was one of the pioneers of modern Indian art and a�key figure of Contextual Modernism. A pupil of Abanindranath Tagore, Bose was known for his 'Indian style' ofpainting. He became the principal of Kala Bhavan, Santiniketan in 1922. He was influenced by the�Tagore family.�Murals of Ajanta�also put�a large�impact on him.�His classic works include paintings of scenes from Indian mythologies, women, village life etc. Today, many critics consider his paintings among India*s most important modern paintings.�In 1976, the�Archaeological Survey of India, Department of Culture,�Govt. of India�declared his works among the 'nine artists' whose work, 'not being antiquities', were to be henceforth considered 'to be art treasures, having regard to their artistic and aesthetic value.
