*Guernica* (1937)- One of the most famous masterpiece is a pathbreaking art showing war-time-reality. Picaso made it for the International Exposition dedicated to Art and Technology held in Paris. Before 2nd world war, unrest started in spain, and pain, tension & fear was there. Guernica reflects the panic during this interwar period & was his visual response, his memorial to the brutal massacre. It has since become the twentieth century*s most powerful indictment against war, a painting that still feels intensely relevant today.
