Product Description

*Poplars at Giverny, Sunrise* (1888): For many years, Monet had been enamoured by the poplar trees that flanked the bank of the river Epte. He began a new series capturing the poplars under the subtle effects of shifting light and seasons in 1891, after completing his enormous and critically renowned haystacks series. With an almost dreamy aspect, the interplay of ornamental arrangement and vibrant hues that transcend beyond nature seem to depict both the actual environment and the 'concept' of the landscape. *CLAUDE MONET (1845-1870) is one of the world's most famous painters, well-known today for his series of serene water lilies paintings, Claude Monet was instrumental in forging an entirely new direction for the world of art & impressionism. His distinctive use of colour, vision, and conformation would have a long influence on fine art, inspiring many great artists like Van Gogh.
